Every step you take in the right direction is a major win. Baby steps, small steps, big steps, they’re all wins. And they should produce a personal payoff for yourself.

Lost one kilo? Count the win!

Closed the deal? Count the win!

Took the required test? Count the win!

Risked an intimate moment? Count the win!

Paid off the loan? Count the win!

Ate fruit for breakfast? Count the win!

Bought that new dress? Count the win!

Your cholesterol count dropped? Count the win!

Signed the lease? Count the win!

Scored in double figures? Count the win!

Finished that report? Count the win!

Climbed ten steps? Count the win!

In order to count the wins you must recognize the wins. This skill is like following a trail of breadcrumbs. Some people are only willing to look at loaves of bread as a win, other can sniff out the most microscopic crumb and keep on the scent through any adversity. The latter always seem to know which direction to turn. They count every win, no matter how small, as proof their intention is working. As you take action toward your destination, every single step is a win, and should be celebrated as such!

Each action you take has the potential within it for a win. Make yourself aware of how many wins you have in the day. Wins can be very simple, yet very meaningful. With observation, you will find that you win much more than otherwise throughout each day.

When every step is a win, there is no such thing as losing! As long as your thoughts, beliefs, choices and actions are focused on your destination there will be much progress, and each incremental step is a win! You will be creating authentic reasons for celebration and constant positive reinforcement for your efforts!

Most importantly, the person who realizes this keeps taking steps and making progress. This helps keep your efforts light and fun as you approach, and achieve your goals.

Gratitude and acknowledgement are very powerful ways to occupy your thoughts. When you count every step as a win, you automatically acknowledge your progress and appreciate your efforts. Your self-esteem improves.

Your experience of a life worth living increases.

Each day look for the positives in your life and how they are helping you move towards your dreams and goals. Saviour the successes and learn from the defeats but don’t let them stop you from moving forward. Even defeats have a positive aspect to them as it might show you what not to do, or where to improve.
